Okay, let’s talk about something SUPER awkward for me… the fact that I’m here, on the internet, talking to you right now!

Plot twist: I never wanted to be an “influencer.” Like, EVER. The whole concept made me want to hide under a rock and emerge only for family dinners and lake days!

But here we are, and honestly? I’m kinda glad we’re here together!

Back When Life Was Simpler (And Offline!)

Before social media was even a THING (yes, I’m officially old enough to say that!), I was building community the old-school way. Picture this: actual humans gathered in actual living rooms, sharing real struggles over actual coffee that we actually brewed ourselves! Revolutionary, right?

It was authentic. Simple. And blissfully OFFLINE.

Social media? Honestly, it’s ALWAYS felt overwhelming to me! I’d rather spend quality time with my boys, Scott, and our crazy wonderful friends than scroll endlessly or stress about the perfect post. The spotlight? Hard pass! I never wanted to be “that girl” online – you know, the one everyone either loves or loves to hate!

But then something shifted in my heart…

What if what I’ve experienced could give someone else HOPE? What if my messy, imperfect journey could be the encouragement another woman desperately needs?

And THAT? That’s worth being uncomfortable for.

When My Body Basically Gave Me the Finger

For YEARS (and I mean YEARS!), I lived on prescription medications. One for reflux that made me feel like a dragon breathing fire. One for digestion because my gut had basically gone on permanent strike. And then eventually something ELSE to balance the side effects of the first two!

Like most of us, I believed the system: health issue = doctor visit = prescription = problem solved! Right? RIGHT?!

Here’s the thing nobody tells you: most doctors are trained to MANAGE symptoms with prescriptions, not guide you toward actual HEALING through food, movement, emotional wellness, or stress management. (And bless them – they’re doing their best with what they know!)

So I kept taking the meds. Kept following the rules. Kept being the “good patient.”

And I kept feeling WORSE.

My gut was absolutely WRECKED. I needed medication just to… well, let’s say “clear the pipes.” The reflux was relentless – like having a tiny volcano in my chest! And the emotional stuff? Oof. Turns out most of our serotonin is made in the gut, and mine was basically on vacation without pay! 🏖️ (But not the fun kind!)

I was frustrated, exhausted, and – if I’m being totally honest – starting to feel hopeless.

The Day a Stinky Little Bottle Changed EVERYTHING

Picture this: me at work, post-lunch, reaching into the office fridge for my trusty pink bottle of antacids (seriously, I bought them in BULK!).

Enter stage left: my incredible co-worker, a physical therapist with a passion for natural wellness who probably got tired of watching me suffer!

She gently asked what was going on. I told her the whole sorry saga.

“Would you be open to trying something else?” she asked. “It might help. It might not. But it doesn’t have any side effects.”

Cue my skeptical eyebrow raise

She handed me this tiny, SUPER stinky bottle of essential oil and told me to rub a few drops on my stomach.

Y’all. I LAUGHED. Hard pass! I did NOT want to smell like a walking forest for the rest of the workday!

But something about her confidence (and my desperation) made me think, “What do I have to lose?”

Ten minutes later? The burning in my chest and throat was GONE. Thirty minutes later? Let’s just say my gut cleared out like it hadn’t in AGES, and I felt INCREDIBLE!

That moment literally blew my mind! I couldn’t believe something so SIMPLE had worked that fast when everything else had failed me for YEARS!

From “This Is Crazy” to “I NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING”

I became completely OBSESSED – not with selling anything (that came waaaaay later!), but with UNDERSTANDING how this was even possible!

I dove headfirst into learning:

  • Homeopathy
  • Aromatherapy
  • Herbology
  • Nutrition
  • All the things that somehow got skipped in my “traditional” health education!

I studied. Experimented. Applied everything to my own life. And you know what? I’ve now gone YEARS without needing a single medication!

I no longer need anything to force my body to function properly (yes, we’re going THERE because somebody needs to talk about the real stuff!). I’ve learned to tune into what my body actually NEEDS to feel light, clear, and energized every single day!

Instead of managing symptoms, I found a way to support my system so it functions the way it was ALWAYS meant to!

The more I learned, the more frustrated I became – not just for myself, but for the THOUSANDS of women like me who are suffering silently because they’ve never been told there are other options!

Why I Almost Chickened Out (Multiple Times!)

Even with all those incredible changes, I STILL didn’t want to put myself out there online!

The internet is FULL of noise. Everyone has haters. (Seriously, people will argue about ANYTHING these days!) And honestly? I didn’t want the stress of defending myself for simply trying to help!

Here’s the thing: I’m NOT a doctor. I’m not here to prescribe, diagnose, or treat anything.

But I AM someone who’s LIVED this journey. I AM someone who’s spent thousands of hours studying and learning. And I care – DEEPLY – about women who feel stuck, sick, tired, and completely ignored by the system!

I hesitated because the word “influencer” always sounded like someone just trying to get attention or sell you something you don’t need.

But then I realized: sometimes influence means being brave enough to share your story, even when your voice shakes a little. 🎤

What I Really Want You to Know (The Heart of Everything)

If you’re where I was – burned out, bloated, exhausted, and completely unsure who to trust – this is what I want you to know:

I CARE. Like, really, truly, deeply care about YOU!

I’m not here to convince you of anything. I’m not here to sell you a magic solution. I’m here to walk WITH you, wherever you are in your journey.

You don’t need someone to swoop in and “fix” you (because you’re not broken!). You just need someone to remind you that YOU have the power to become your own best advocate!

Here’s what I know for sure:

  • You don’t have to stay on the same exhausting hamster wheel
  • You CAN change your story 📖
  • You CAN hold the pen and write a completely new chapter
  • You CAN feel better. You CAN feel like YOU again!

But first? You have to give yourself permission to try something new. To trust that tiny voice inside you that whispers, “Maybe there’s another way…”

If you’re curious, if you’re fed up, if there’s even the TINIEST spark of hope flickering in your heart…

TRUST IT.

That voice isn’t just wishful thinking. It’s the beginning of your healing journey. And I’ll be right here, cheering you on every single step of the way!
